Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) continuation have been attached to the success of the present administration in the State of Osun.
The Governor State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola made this known at the courtesy visit paid him by the OYES Corps from the 30 local governments and area office led by its Commandanté EniIbukun Oyewole rtd, at the Government House in Osogbo the state capital.
Governor Oyetola emphasized that OYES is a wonderful legacy scheme, which must be sustained despite paucity of funds, because it drastically reduced restiveness, poverty and possibility of vices among youths in the state, stating that an unengaged youth is tools for devil's vices.
He showed his delight at the gladness of the corps towards the increase in the monthly allowance of the OYES ad-hoc to #12,500 from #10,000 and the OYES teachers corps to #15,000 from #10,000, and the Governor maintained that there will be periodic review of the allowance scale of the OYES based on resources available in the state.
The Governor commended Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) corps for their discipline, resilence and organization, thereby creating hope for youth, and he asked for the support of all stakeholders for the administration.
Similarly the Minister for Health, Professor Isaac Adewole who was a present dignitary at the visit confessed his love as a fan of OYES, he also attested that OYES continuity is a testimony for lasting legacy, and he urged the corps on hundred percent loyalty to the present governments.
Prof. Adewole urged all stakeholders to ensure that OYES continuity remain successful, stating that the legacy must be built on, and the state repositioned to continually be first always in policies of the government across strata.
The Minister, while congratulating OYES beneficiaries, stated that it is good for the state to be in alignment with the federal government to access dividends of democracy.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme Commandanté EniIbukun Oyewole rtd, congratulated Governor Oyetola for the victory of President Mohammadu Buhari's re-election, and he commended the Governor for his hard work and commitment to youth empowerment in the State of Osun.
While thanking Governor Oyetola for the continuity of OYES, Oyewole also thanked him for the increase of the allowance scale of the OYES corps, and he plegded the OYES commitment, support and continuity to the aims, objectives, programs and policies of the government.
The Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) congratulated the Governor State of Osun of the victory at the gubernatorial poll, the Presidential and National Assembly polls as well as the forthcoming House of Assembly poll.
