The All Progressive Congress (APC)Governorship Candidate, Gboyega Oyetola has assured the workers in the state that civil servant  will lose job under his leadership, rather will build efficient civil service that will possess capacity to accelerate developments.

Oyetola said civil service is the bedrock for effective governance and it would be suicidal for any serious leader to undermine the importance of civil servants in delivering the dividence of democracy.

The governorship flag bearer said this while featuring on Osun State Broadcasting Cooperation Television (OSBC) TV, personality programme.

He assured that except those who retired as a result of age and years of service, voluntarily resignation from the service, or involve in fraud or fake certificate, no one will lose job as a result of salary challenges.

According to him, "all these false claim of loss of job in the civil services is just a political rumor, no government has been so committed to the progress of civil servant, as difficult as the country's economy was in 2015, we resisted the temptation to sack anybody, as the Chief of Staff to the governor, I have been interfacing with the labour and we have been assuring them that no one will lose job and we are going to continue to ensure that the workers have the best”

“The governor has persistently assured the workers that he is going to upset the outstanding, everything should not be politics, we have operated the best workers friendly government in the history of the state, no state government in Nigeria jointly allocates revenue with Labour unions, but he Osun to be sure of our commitment, we are jointly taking decision on state revenue through a committee headed by the Veteran Labour  leader  Comrade Hassan Sumonu”.

Speaking on his programme for the state, Oyetola said Aregbesola has done well in the area of infrastructure and his administration will expand it and drive investments to create more job in the state saying the state requires more aggressive economic development.

Oyetola promised that his administration will improve the internally generated revenue of the state without increasing tax or imposing burden on the people.
